How To Dressup for B-school interview

You maybe a fashionable person and know what to wear on most occasions. From a smart dress for a cocktail party to an elegant salwar kameez for a mehandi ceremony, from weaning casual jeans and top for a film to formal skirt on a dinner party, you know exactly what to wear when and where. But a B-school interview is a different ball game altogether. What you wear gives an impression about you.
When you're going for a B-school interview, you must be properly dressed. The B-school interviews still follow the conservative standard. This does not mean that you need to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. Go for quality over quantity. You mush have one or two well-chosen business shirts and ties or smart skirts and tops that will show that you're serious enough and worth a seat in the prestigious B-school.

Tips on how to dress for a B-school interview-:

Avoid loud colours
Use Clean & polished shoes
No long nails please
Hair tied in a neat manner
Light briefcase or folder
No short skirts or deep necks
Minimal cologne or perfume
Empty pockets - no bulges or tinkling coins
Conservative long-sleeved shirt/blouse in white or light colour
No visible body piercing (nose rings, eyebrow rings, etc.) or tattoos

For women
Wear minimal makeup
Hair should be tied neatly
Don't wear revealing clothes
Shoes with conservative heels
Don't wear too much of jewellery
Avoid dresses like skirt

If you wear nail polish, use clear or a conservative colour

For men
Wear a wristwatch
Don't chew gum during interview
Dark, polished shoes
Avoid earrings or rings
Shirts should be ironed
Get a haircut; short hair always fares best in interviews
Fresh shave; moustaches or beards (avoidable) should be neat and trimmed

Conservative hosiery at or near skin colour
